Hi, I had a similar problem with my Canon 6D and the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 lens. If I left the lens attached to my camera body and turned OFF the camera the battery would drain down to zero.

So when I wasn't using the camera I would remove the battery. If I had any other lens attached to the body I wouldn't have the problem, I could leave the camera for weeks and it wouldn't drained a tiny bit.

Apparently my issue was a known issue.

What lens are you using? Have you tried a different lens to see if that makes a difference?

In all the time I've been using Canon DSLR's I've never had a battery start losing it charge or even fail on me, their batteries are usually pretty good.

If you don't have another lens, I would remove the lens from the body and put a cap on the front of the camera and then leave the camera OFF. Then monitor if the battery drains unusually quick. Obviously if it does drain unusually quick that eliminates the lens.

Hope the helps.
