Surprised by very aggressive RP pricing

I thought EOS R to be an expensive joke (outdated sensor tech, weird touch bar UI, expensive pricing) but now am quite surprised by the pricing of the RP. It costs $1299, and it comes with:

-FREE extension grip (Which is optional for most mirrorless cameras and usually cost $100 or more. For example, Fuji sells extension grip for XT20 series for $119.95)

-FREE EF adapter (Nikon charges $249 for FTZ adapter if bought separately, and currently Z6+FTZ combo carries $150 premium over Z6 body only)

So Canon threw roughly $250 freebies with $1299 RP camera, which makes the net price of the RP as low as $1050. That's HALF THE PRICE of Z6 kit or A7mk3 Kit, seriously.

Of course RP is quite limited in every possible ways but it will still produce nice looking OOC jpegs, and can be used with tons of affordable EF lenses in the market until more cost effective native lenses come out.

I think Nikon should respond ASAP with a entry model or they may lose quite a bit of (future) FF market share.
