If R's Future Is Full Frame Only, The M's Future Is Secure

Think about the following: if Canon is intent on driving down full frame prices via the RP to take mirrorless full frame market share than there may never be an APSC version of the RF mount. Why would they bother. The M will continue to be the APSC mount as the R will be full frame.

As sensor yields on full frame sensor is much less I don't see how they can drive down the prices to ever be at APSC levels.

Of course Canon may have discovered something in sensor manufacturing that no one knows about. If thats the case than its potentially revolutionary.

There will always be a market for small cameras that take great pictures. I don't think the M will be abandoned.

Canon just wants an even bigger slice of the ILC pie.
