I have the Meikon housing for the Sony a7RII, and used it on a trip last month to Yap and Palau to a max depth of 105 ft. I only used the flat port. I had the dome with me, but didn't get around to it. Meikon does a good job of describing the limitations on this model housing, and I knew that going in. The limitations were not significant for the shooting I initially wanted to do.

Based on the positive experience with the first Meikon, I decided to upgrade to the a7RIII and will have the Meikon housing for that camera delivered tomorrow. The reason for the change is an included zoom control for the 28-70 mm lens, vacuum test port, and better battery life from the new camera model.

I reviewed other housings for the new camera, but their steep prices again put me off. Prices for the port extensions, ports, domes, and gears are also high. I came back to Meikon for good performance and cost effectiveness.

Communication with Meikon (and Seafrogs) is excellent - replies within 24 hours. And shipment to the US is fast, on the order of FedEx or UPS ground.

I'm considering this housing as well. Can you tell us what other gear you are using with it? Ports, tray, arms, strobes? How has your experience been with it so far?

Thanks
