Look I know this is mFTs. I know. And I am only shooting mFts. I am using a GH4 and an Em1.2 and no reasonto part with either of them because they still deliver more than I can throw at them. I am the weakestlink here and still have a so much to learn.

But I also want our system to be viable. Em1X and GH5s and the like are really good and there is a market for them. But I feel we badly need a real mFT cam that addresses the needs of those that want it to be a small as posisble, while comfortable and not skimping on too many features.

For those we miss a G90 and an EM5.3. I, and many others with me, have come up with all sorts of spec lists so I won't do it again also since none of these lists are identical. We all have our (most of the time quite specific) thoughts about how such a cam should look.

Long story short: we miss a mFT verison of the Fuji X-T30. Now the X-T30 has shortcomings for sure. Its EVF with -0.62 magnification seems really really...well let's say it is Fuji's version of what Panny does in the GX9.

not really because of the fast update refresh (100hz vs 60) and the fact the gx9 uses a dynamic range limited sequential LCD

that said, I agree with most of what you said  the road to compete here is not by releasing a 16mp epl9 or em1x

Other than that, the X-T30 has the same great sensor, has a lower native ISO possibly providing even cleaner images at the low end of the ISO range (at the expense of hi ISO noise I guess). Etc.

I think G90 and Em5.3 should be much of what the X-T30 is now. I have a lot of respect for the Fuji especially since the X-T3 and the X-T30 is another cam that seems t be geared almost perfectly at people who want a really capable cam for a very reasoable price.
