Nelligan...
Mais more to the point, your pics lack light and contrast. Maybe try back-lighting of some sort, you can add more punch to the scene. And it's not like you won't have time to experiment; I don't expect heat waves in Québec any time soon...
Well... I was lucky to catch that moment at the end of the afternoon on the day of a special weather event due to the climate hoax. It is not the fisrt time we have frost patterns in winter. They do not last though and i cannot always get images. This time we had a rainstorm coupled with very cold weather (minus 35 celsius) and a blackout of 5 minutes with a winter lightning in another part of town. The pictures were taken from inside the house at around 15h30-16h at the end of the day, in january 20th darkness at around 16h30 since the days get longer from the solstice on. I was experimenting with the manual focus Nikkor and kind of moving the camera to get focus wich was hard to get on the whole image. There is about 15 better shots out of about 100. My back lighting can only be the light of day (very good King Crimson piece by the way) and I lead a night life so that was not to long after my bowl of cafe au lait. Excuse my english as it is my third language.
P.S.: of course it is a "clin d'oeil" to Émille Nelligan.
