Controversy as award winning photographer Lisa Saad accused of stealing images

Not sure why this isn't on DP Review by now because it's causing massive waves through the industry in Australia as she is heavily linked to photographic institutions such as the AIPP.

Evidence seems to be mounting against Lisa Saad as more and more of her image composites seem to contain elements taken from other peoples work.

The verdict on investigations isn't out yet so it can't be said for sure whether she's legitimately acquired these from the sources (the original image source that broke the story says he wasn't asked).

Either way, implementing other peoples work into your own goes against most of the rules of the prizes she's won.

From: http://stopstealingphotos.com/lisa-saad-photographer-melbourne-australia/

'It’s pretty simple once you see it and it’s infuriating because this image won the silver with distinction award at AIPP this past falland a gold award at The Societies of Photographers as well as nominated for Best Illustrative Photographer of the Year by the same company.

The original photographer was not asked, nor did he give permission for his image to be used in this competition image.

Interestingly, the image no longer appears on her website or social media although Google Reverse Image does show it on her website via a search. The only reference to the image I can find that is still attached to her social media profiles is this newsletter she sent out after her win. If she didn’t use the other image, why remove it?'
