$499 RF 35/1.8 have (IS + Macro) but not in a $479 EF-M 32/1.4 (annoying)

Haven't read all of the comments, but this might come down to manufacturing cost and how many they expect to sell (with a similar profit).

The EF-M has 3 more pieces of glass. Maybe the combinations of whatever is inside each lens ends up costing Canon more to produce the 32mm. Just speculation of course. Canon's site didn't list what type of glass elements were in the lenses, but I'd imagine someone with that info and knowledge on cost could make a good guess on if one or the other costs more to produce. Then the IS of the RF lens would need to be factored in.
