Nikon fading into oblivion, ILC and mirroless stagnacy in graphs

Some visuals on market situation:

Overall customer numbers:

Lack of new customers for ILC (mirroless and DSLR), mirrorless not gaining a lot for 7 years

The market judgement on Nikon cameras seems to be worse than even the average, leading to continued customer exodus:

Nikon continueing to loose hundreds of thousands of customers per year. No light at the end of the tunnel.

And it shows in financials as well:

Sales and profits sliding down.

When combining this with Canon's honest outlook here: https://www.canonwatch.com/canon-execs-sees-a-dark-future-for-digital-cameras-thinks-market-will-shrink-by-half-in-next-2-years/ it seems there overall is no light at the end of the tunnel.

As a photographer it is good times as we'll not only see the price wars Sony, Nikon and Canon have already started, we also can lean back and buy less as the current lenses and cameras are all more than good enough.

If we are lucky, the product cycles will slow down a lot (until someone comes up with some real relevant innovation, which we have not seen in the market for many years).
