Dimage Viewer 2.37 and RAW files
Re: Dimage Viewer 2.37 and RAW files
Update to anybody who read my first post: Tonight I made a new RAW photo just for a test. Unexpectedly, I got an image in Windows Explorer, and another box beside it as a placeholder, with a THM label. That one has the Dimage Viewer icon. My missing RAW photos show up with a THM label in Windows Explorer. I just can't do anything with them. But this test turned out differently.
I opened Dimage Viewer and went to the folder with that test photo, and it showed up in DV also. I clicked to open it and Dimage Viewer opened the editing panel for a RAW photo. I was surprised. It actually worked. The photo looked ok so I clicked ok and saved it as a Jpeg. That was the first RAW photo I have worked with. I still don't understand why the six or seven RAW photos I made Monday while out hiking didn't show up in Dimage Viewer. After that first test photo, I made four more, and they showed up too in Dimage Viewer. I guess that problem is done. As of now, I can't use the Adobe converter, but I can use Dimage Viewer. That is good. At least I can do something with RAW photos. I want to experiment with that format and see how it goes. Too bad those RAW photos I made out in the boonies won't show up, but I made a bunch in Jpeg extra fine, and a couple in Tiff. All those are ok. I'll try more of this RAW format.
