No doubt GX8 is a premium class camera. But mirrorless is a highly technology driven product and as long as possible (budget and options), I shall look forward instead of backward.

If size of GX8 be of your satisfaction, and you need WR, might be a G85, which has all the latest hardware as GX85, be a better option?

Wanting to replace my three GX7s, I compared a G85 and GX8 in a store. Despite the technical refinements of the G85 (no AA filter, reduced shutter shock, etc.), I went with the GX8 for what might seem like minor reasons. First, the buttons on the GX8 are raised, whereas those on the G85 are flush and very difficult to find by touch. Second, my thumb could more easily reach and operate the "rear" dial on the GX8. Working quickly in dim conditions, I find these usability differences more important than stuff that shows up on the spec sheet. I also appreciate the slightly larger EVF on the GX8, and I prefer a "rangefinder" body type.
