One would think that given the excellent tool DP Review provides to compare cameras side by side they would strive to fill in all the necessary information to enable the user to judge and benefit from the tools itself.

Instead, even after years, the holes are still visible. So clearly there isn't an ongoing process to check and fix the mistakes/gaps, even if it would take a matter of minutes if not seconds.

Comparing the EOS R with my 60D

on both sides quite a few cells are still empty.

Pity.

BTW, is DP Review biased against Canon? This is an unrelated question but an honest one, as I haven't used the site much over the last few years. I am coming back to it recently trying to make my mind up on where to move next I have had such impression.

DPR is not biased against Canon.

They are, however, strongly biased in favor of gadgetry over actual photographic quality.

Since Canon is more focused on the later than on the former, it usually comes out short competing for their attention span.

Yes, most reviewers focus on the wrong qualities, ones that make an impression to the review community, but overlook more important factors that matter most to consumers in the long run.  Reviewers have to justify their jobs and gadgetry gives them more to write about.

It's just like camera bodies vs lenses.  Reviewers love camera bodies; they change more frequently and have more features and specs to write about.  But reviewers give far less emphasis to lens, even though lenses are in the long run more important.

I saw the same thing happen with HiFi equipment back in the day; most reviewers cared more about the gadgetry and not true sound quality.  Ironically the equipment with best sound quality usually had less of the gadgetry.
