I've been looking seriously at the X-E3 and think of using it with just one prime, either the 23/2 or 27 pancake. I have the X70, which is great and I use as my walk around camera, but it's getting a little long in the tooth, so to speak. I'm waiting for the X80, but..... how long....? I can't really afford the X100F, tho it's a great camera, so thinking the X-E3 would be more versatile, as I have other Fujinon lenses.

I am very interested in the X-E3, too. The limiting factor are to my mind indeed the lenses - I find a body hard ro pocket with the 23/2 (my favorite lense now). The 27mm is very compact but what makes me hesitant to use it is its slow AF speed. That rarely is mentioned in reviews.

Thanks for your comments. I don't have a problem with pockets as I have a photog jacket with big pockets which I wear all the time. I don't know either lens, so am interested in your comments. So I think I'm better off with the 23/2, because I will use the camera for street work where AF speed is important. For other work, I have the 35/1.4 for night and low light photography, and the 60/2.4 for walking in the park and casual portraits, both great lenses which I recommend and which you can probably get fairly cheap. Also, my XC 50-230 is great for long range shots in the park and on walks in the forest. I have a X-T10 now and was thinking of the X-T20, but reviews of the X-E3 have been very good, so that's what I'm looking at when I get the money. ALso, I have been happy with the X70, and I carry it with me all the time, tho would love to get the X80, if and when it comes out. I have no problem putting it in my shirt pocket or ordinary jacket.

The 23/2 and the 35/2 are in my experience not perfect but a very good lenses. It is - to my mind - the best choice in the focal lenghts due to the much faster and more agile AF.

It is well worth the slower aperture to me and tehy are more affordable and more compact.
