Replacement hoods for 50-140 & 16-55mm

The 16-55 hood is as effective as any hood can be on a lens that goes out to 16mm. Much bigger will vignette, much smaller is pointless.

Do you own either of those two lenses? I own both and I would say that they are a PITA to use. Not sure I would use the word "gimicky".

When reversing either hood for storage they tend to get off kilter with their threads and getting them to sit flush is always an issue. I think that's what was meant by "gimicky" Not "gimicky" in how they look, or the function they provide.

1 inch 72mm metal lens hood.

Original good too troublesome to store in bags... Must remove n reverse. This adds just 1 inch. Protects the front for knocks n rain drops. Flare wise I shoot into the sun alot so dunno how good it can be being so short.

For the 1655,the flower hood stays permanently there. Any lens hood u can find fit won't save much in size.
