Thanks for that. As the NX1000 was set up with a 20-50mm zoom, I imagine I can use that lens at 50mm, and put the extension tube between it and the camera. Then I will need to rig up a backlit slide-holding device, and be good to go? Sound right?

I wonder how far in front of the lens the slide will need to sit?  Perhaps I can use the slide carrier from the duplicator I have here.
