Does anyone know a way to get timecode out of an X-E3?
1

I have an X-T3 as my primary video camera and an X-E3 I use as a second camera when conducting multi-camera interviews. The X-T3 files are easy to sync with the recorded audio because the timecode is accurate, even if the camera is stopped and started periodically to avoid cutting the video short due to video length limitations. But the X-E3 video files all come out with a start timecode of 00:00:00:00. I can find options to set the timecode in the camera menus, but it only ever appears on still images.

Syncing these clips by audio in my NLE is laborious and often requires manual syncing and drift correction. Pluraleyes works but is *expensive* and still requires manual adjusting because it doesn't export for DaVinci Resolve.

Does anyone know a way to get the X-E3 to save timecode into video, or a workaround in post to extract an accurate timecode?

Thanks in advance for any advice or insights!
