The other downer to video lights - things that can run, will.  With the strobes, you can get a shot off first, and sometimes more, since you're only blasting for 1/250th of a second.    Some sharks might be attracted to the electronic noise.     At night, even with much less powerful lights, I've blinded fish that then bump into me.    Also will see sharks, rays, eels following you to see if you light up some dinner.

One thing is certain, at the prices these torch manufacturers are charging they are making a killing.

on a marginal basis, perhaps.   For the entire production, not really.  Small volume business.
