What camera "could make sense"?
Jan 27, 2019
Maybe a "weird" question, but I dare to ask nevertheless...!
I came to the Fuji system a few years ago buying the X100T... a camera that really brought me back the fun in photography. The handling, the image quality... just great, at least for my needs, in my opinion. The limitations like the autofocus system, smaller resolution, fixed focal length... nothing I could not deal with.
A few weeks ago I got me the X-T3 with the 16-55mm f/2.8... also a really great camera that also fulfills my personal needs.
Nevertheless there is a difference in these cameras I observe in rendering images, but maybe that's just my very personal opinion, that makes me still love my little X100T... no way I will sell it or give it away. Again, the X-T3 is great... but there is something I cannot really express that makes the X100T simply different.
My question now: What camera "could make sense" for me considering I would like to get the same rendering of images like in my X100T but I would also have the flexibility to change lenses? As of my understanding neither the X-Pro nor the X-T1 series used ever the same sensor and processing engine as the X100T, right? There are only the X-T10 and the X-E2 series that would be comparable in that regards, right?
UPDATE: I just recognized that the X-T1 seems to have the same sensor and processor like the X100T, so it could also be an option!
So what camera would you suggest, if you can understand my "intention"?
My idea then would be to get such a camera, most likely in the beginning with either the 35mm f/1.4 (longer FL for example for general shooting, portraits, etc.), the 16mm f/1.4 or the 14mm f?2.8 (wider FL for example for architecture, landscape and cityscape, etc.) as a complement to my X100T.
Last but not least, if I go for such an "older" camera, what resource would you recommend to get it in a great used condition?
Any other ideas?
