Has anyone else had issues/problems with rotating parts of Fuji Cameras that would influence them in buying another Fuji Camera?

I’m considering buying an X100f but my decision is being delayed because of my own experience with rotating parts on the two Fuji camera I’ve owned and the QC posts of the X100f I’ve been reading.

My XQ1 – The command dial has completely failed in one direction
My X100s – The Focus Ring became loose. It still worked though. I sold it a couple of years ago.

Hoping to dampen the Flames a bit - I absolutely loved the interface between me and the X100s. It was a lovely camera to use.

The camera costs approximately $1700 here in Australia and we don’t have the returns policy some other countries have.

I shoot Nikon FF, Canon premium compacts and I’m missing my X100s.

No can't say that I have. I do really enjoy shooting with my Fuji cameras. Guess if I had a problem I'd get it fixed & keep shooting Fuji.

You make a fair point. I'm delaying my purchase because of a problem that might not happen, and if it did...just get it fixed.

I'll see how my QC post goes over the next week or so, and then make the decision.

Nope. I have the X-T2 and the X100F and keep them both in “T” shutter mode and I ride the rear command dial back and forth quickly and I’ve never experienced any problems nor with any other dials or rings.

Thanks for the feedback.

Rgds,

My X-T2, manufactured in Japan, has been great. I like to shoot in T mode and switched the front dial to the SS where I had the back dial doing it. Seems better with the finger as opposed to the thumb (back). Dials and buttons and stuff are ship-shape.

As for my lens, the great 16-55, the aperture ring is awesome and clicks so beautifully and the focus ring is a smooth as a knife through butter. Zoom works flawlessly and I have zero lens creep. My almost never used 18-55 is just fine but not built like the Red Badge beauty.
