SSD : SATA or PCIe-NVMe ?

I'm in for buying a (cheap) 1TB SSD. The laptop would be a Dell 15 7000 Inspirion 2-in-1 which supports NVMe (don't know for SSD).

Amont cheaper NVMe, there is the new QLC tech, which is considered as very bad by several reviewers (5:53) :

Long story short : benchmark performance decreases dramatically once you fill it more than 50%. The speaker speaks very fast and I don't get everyhing (I'm no native), plus I don't realy get how the issue on benchmarks transfers (or not) to real world.

I would be using LR and previews/library/cache would be on this drive. Does the issue matter in that case ? or should I buy something like a cheap Corsair MP300 or MP500, which shines less in benchmarks, but sustain their (lower) performance ?
