X100F Shutter Button

Just got a wonderful X100F with 3500 shutter count. Second hand but well kept, in excellent shape. I had an X100T I juts sold.

Strange thing with the shutter button:

  • Half press to focus great, fast, precise
  • "FIRM" full press, OK, its take a shoot

... but when I go from half press to firm press slowly, "like squeezing a lemon", (so to say :-), it happens that I reach the second button stage, without the camera firing !! If I continue pressing stronger (there is no more travel at this point), the camera shoots.

So that seems not right. When I am on the street shooting fast and in action, shots are going ok. But when I concentrate on a shot and press very slowly down it happens quite often that shot is not take unless I continue to press firmly.

I did menu resets. I am on shutter priority (not focus) the shot is taken even when out of focus. The camera is super clean, I do not think anything has happened to the cam with the first user. It was bought in March 2018 and is still under the two years warranty.

Should I send it in?

BTW: Love everything else
