Native Long Glass a6500
I was a dedicated MFT user with Panasonic G9 and a whole bunch of lenses including the PanLeica 100-400...and there's the rub. I got a a7iii for everything but sports and wildlife, great but heavy glass and a pain to travel with. So I picked up an a6500...lighter, smaller glass easy to travel with ( mostly use the Zeiss 16-70 which is rediculously small compared to the Sony FE 24-105) and certainly comparable to the MFT G9. The problem is tht the a6500 has sooo much better IQ, low light performance, image tracking than the G(, but not the long glass. There is nothing native for the a6500 like the PanLeica 100-400 (200-800 mm equiv). The Sony G master 100-400 gwts close but v expensive. I have used the Tamron 150-600 on a Sony a77ii without a converter with great results. I don't want to use a converter. Anyone have any suggestions? Someone must shoot wildlife with a long lens on the a6500.
The 100-400 GM is expensive but it and the dedicated 1.4x TC solved my birding problem. I use it hand held. You get about 5 stops stabilization from the lens.
Thanks for your reply. I am moving in that direction.
