I'm considering the 2 following options:

1) Replacing my Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 Pro with the Panasonic 35-100 f/2.8 mk2 mostly because of size and weight (for travel).
2) Replacing my Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 Pro + my Olympus 12-40 Pro with the Olympus 12-100 f4 for similar reasons i.e. total weight and size. What are your thoughts and suggestions?
I should mention that I have the PL 100-400 for telephoto purposes.

I wanted to add that for my upcoming trip, I will be going on a safari, so the type of photography I would do would be nature/wildlife.

But I also are considering the options mentioned for other travels. The Oly 40-150 always take up so much room (+ weight).

For a Safari I would think that the 12-100 would be perfect. Less lens changes in sandy conditions, and you'll be ready for more situations. I would guess you're mostly shooting in good light so 2.8 vs 4.0 would not make much difference?

If you intend two carry two bodies, one with the 100-400mm, I can't imagine you'll miss the 100-150mm range of the Olympus tele zoom.
