I'm considering the 2 following options:

1) Replacing my Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 Pro with the Panasonic 35-100 f/2.8 mk2 mostly because of size and weight (for travel).
2) Replacing my Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 Pro + my Olympus 12-40 Pro with the Olympus 12-100 f4 for similar reasons i.e. total weight and size. What are your thoughts and suggestions?
I should mention that I have the PL 100-400 for telephoto purposes.

For travel I think the 12-100 makes a lot of sense and possibly keep hold of the 12-40mm 2.8 just in case. I recently got the 12-60 part of a joint Birthday and Christmas presents when there was a discount on the lens. I'm planning to use this lens for travel but I haven't decided yet if I should sell either or both my 12-35mm 2.8 and the 35-100mm 2.8. Since I got the 50-200, it make sense for the 35-100mm to go and maybe keep the 12-35.

If you're thinking of downsizing your gear for safari. I would like to see some information regarding your trip. Most people I seen on safari only carry one body and a maximum of two lenses. The 40-150mm 2.8 would make an ideal secondary lens for most safaris but it size is bigger than the Panasonic 100-400 and possible weigh more too! So I understand why you might want to carry less. The other side of the argument is most predators are active in low light and so you would get some benefits from a 2.8 zoom depending how close you're too the subject.
