I'm considering the 2 following options:

1) Replacing my Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 Pro with the Panasonic 35-100 f/2.8 mk2 mostly because of size and weight (for travel).
2) Replacing my Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 Pro + my Olympus 12-40 Pro with the Olympus 12-100 f4 for similar reasons i.e. total weight and size. What are your thoughts and suggestions?
I should mention that I have the PL 100-400 for telephoto purposes.

I was going to reply that I have both the 40-150/2.8 and the 35-100/2.8, and I never would carry the Oly unless I knew for sure I needed it.  The Panny goes with me a lot - it's light enough to carry anywhere.

Then I read that you're going on Safari. When I went to Africa, I took the 40-150 and the 1.4TC along with the 100-400. I kept the twozooms mounted on two bodies while on the game drive and missed very few shots on the side end.  On the other hand, the 40-150+1.4 gave me a backup if the 100-400 failed while in the bush (it didn't).

So I'd keep that lens at least until after your trip.
