I bought the 12-40 and 40-150 pro zooms with my E-M1.

For quite a long time, I dithered about selling the 40-150 due to its size. Then I really started using it. Wow, this lens is superb - one of my favourite in the system.

I did buy a Panasonic 35-100 2.8 but quickly sold that as, for me, it just didn't give me the sharpness I was getting from the Oly 40-150.

Was that the 35-100 mk1 version of that lens that you bought?

No, it was the Mk2 version. And I didn't need to pixel peep to appreciate the difference.

I also bought the 12-100. I missed the 2.8 constant aperture and the ability of the 40-150 to blur the background, especially on outdoor candid portraits. So I quickly sold the 12-100.

I was also going to mention that the added stabilisation with the 12-100 is great but only with static subjects. When there is movement Ì prefer wider aperture.

At the end of it all, I am super happy with the 12-40 teamed with the 40-150 pro. I very rarely use a tripod, so I have removed the tripod mount from the Tele zoom which makes for a more compact fit in my Tenba Cooper Slim.

These two lenses cover most of what I shoot. Chuck in the Panny 20 and it is still a fairly compact kit that is easily carried in the shoulder bag.

Thanks for your reply.
