So sounds like the film effect preview in the EVF implementation is the culprit - image playback always applies film simulation.

Also I just moved my browser between two differently-calibrated desktop monitors and saw vastly different shades of blue-teal-green between all those images suggesting this is related to color spaces - does changing the color space from sRGB to AdobeRGB has any effect on the EVF vs LCD discrepancy ?

Thank you for yet another useful hint!

Indeed, changing from sRGB to AdobeRGB does the trick. Unfortunately, AdobeRGB is not what you want for your general purpose JPG.

When set to AdobeRGB, do both show the EVF or the LCD sRGB-mode colors ?

To my knowledge, switching from one to the other only affects JPGs. Switching from sRGB to AdobeRGB brings the EVF door colour in line with the (correct) LCD door colour.

Not sure I understand, which one (EVF, LCD) looks the same after the sRGB->AdobeRGB switch as it did before ? Or do both display new but identical shades after the switch ?

Using sRGB the LCD was correct and the EVF was wrong.

Using AdobeRGB both are correct.

But are they different or does the EVF just display AdobeRGB in sRGB mode ?
