Sony 90mm macro 1 : 1 magnification

Sony 90 + extension tubes + Raynox 150  about 2.5 : 1 magnification

Perhaps I will chip into this discussion.

My setup is: Sony a6300 > Sony 90mm Macro > 2 extension tubes > Raynox 150.  For lights I use four desktop lights from Salvation Army with 150W LED bulbs (5100K).

im somehow satisfied with the results - it gives me about 2.5 : 1 magnification.  My goal is to achieve 4 : 1 magnification.  To get there, I have a few options:

-  buy Raynox 250

-  buy shorter macro lens - let say 50mm macro

-  buy bellows

-  stack both Raynox lenses

Of course, all that will require good stacking procedure and processing.  My present focus rails are rather wobbly, so I started to look for a good (but not too expensive) set.  For processing I’m planning to use Affinity Photo.

I’m hoping that more experienced will comment, and if necessary, put me on the right track.

I hope this will help OP.
