Light-Park captured with a K-1

In a town Germany called Hueckelhoven there is a large former spoil heap that hosts a forest nowadays. In that forest an illumination festival is being held each year around Christmas time. I visited it a few days ago and it was quite fun to use the K-1 handheld with some bright lenses to capture it.

Let's start with a rather conventional look of a part of the forest illuminated in blue light - Tamron 28-75/2.8@28mm, f4:

In that forest we see some mementoes of the past of this spoil heap which was created using spoils from the coal mining happening here from 1936 until 1972 - Pentax FA 35/2.0, f2.8 (as the following three pics):

Then we stroll into the "Magic Forest of the Animals" first stumbling upon a large butterfly:

The butterfly again, now without that pesky hanging wire ;-):

A pair of swans on blue water:

A fox - Tamron 28-75/2.8@43mm, f2.8:

A giant squirrel - FA35/2.0, f2.8 again (as the follwing three):

Two deers;

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer of course was also present:

A last look on the Magical Forest, now illuminated in red:

At the end of the tour we enter the Forest of Clouds - Samyang 12/2.8 FE, f4.0:

And a last look from a tower at the "Forest of clouds" as part of the illumination - and of the city of Hueckelhoven sprawling around the spoil heap:
