..Here's a couple of the SX60 full zoom examples..

..have experimented with various sharpening and noise reduction settings..

..found to set the My Colors to "Off", and set the Noise Reduction to "Standard", seems to work the best..

..the below are full size sooc jpeg images.. best to only zoom in up to 50% when viewing.. otherwise deep pixel peeping won't be so pretty..

..these pictures will represent probably the capabilities of the SX60 jpegs.. for better qualities, then can do post processing of the Jpeg or Raw files..

..SX60, sooc jpeg, @ 63mm (efov)..

..SX60, sooc jpeg, @ 1365mm (efov) full zoom..

Thank you very much for the time and effort you have put into the SX60 and SX70 so far. I am amazed at the sharpness and IQ of the last one at ISO 1000 without pixel peeping. Did a little noise noise reduction on it and was quite happy with the result. Now here's the thing:  I see you have all the "super" super zooms one can buy!  I can get a SX60 and a P900 for about the same price.  I am not into birding (yet), more landscapes and wild life and anyhing that catches the eye. Do you have any recommendations from your experience with these  two cameras.  I am a bit weary of the P900 because I know that initially there were some LCD screen problems if i remember correctly. Is that something of the past?

Henning
