Re: 32mm f/1.4 - Shallow DOF & Fast Glass is FUN! (PICS)

Appreciate the samples, particularly the low light as that was something I had to get my arms around as far as expectations prior and leapt a bit in faith.

Been finding it's quite capable, but, just like 50mm on a FF, I've been reaching for my 22mm (35mm equivalent) which I never owned on a FF, particularly for indoor events as 50mm works well for things and people, but groups of people or tighter spaces in low light it's less suitable.

I think Canon should do a 20-ish f/1.4 too for the M. Whether or not they will? Another story. Probably not. Be wonderful for astro too if they did.

I'm find the 32mm is great for just what my 50mm on my 5D was for, portraiture and things, and in the dark. It's less restrictive than 80-85mm equivalence for portraits and requires less shutter indoors to avoid shake at 50mm equivalence so it's more well rounded which is important as to the prior point, it may be the only fast glass for the M, at least for a while at the least thus is much more versatile.
