Amazed at how good Topaz AI Clear is doing with my Minolta lenses

I have been playing around with various lenses, including my Minolta collection, and I am just amazed at how well this software is working with these older lenses.  I have about 13 Minolta lenses, and I have tested them using my Sony A99, and couldn't be more pleased.

Today I was playing with the Minolta 28-85 f3.5-4.5.  This is the early one with the macro switch for use at 28mm, although it is not my choice of lens for macro.

What I saw was that it didn't matter if I shot wide open or stopped it down to f8 or f9, I was hard pressed after using AI Clear to see any difference in sharpness when zooming way in.

Previously, I have tried this on my 35-70, 35-105, 28-135, 20mm f2.8, 100mm f2.8 macro, 50mm macro, 500mm f8 reflex with really good results.  A few more Minolta lenses remaining to experiment with.

This software is really good at removing noise.  About as good as DxO Prime Noise removal.  Plus, using AI, it somehow figures out what the image should look like and does an amazing job of producing a more perfect representation.  The end result being that medium quality lens can be used to get results that one would normally expect from only high end lenses.
