Pixel Shift & Raw Therapee Tutorial
Pixel Shift & Raw Therapee Tutorial

Hello everyone. I am putting together a step-by-step video tutorial on how to use Sony Viewer software to create the .ARQ file from pixel shift images and then process it in Raw Therapee.
The video is in beta stage and is 3 minutes long. The problem I am having with the process is at the 1:47 mark after the processing is finished and the image turns dark.
I am looking for any help as I just started using Raw Therapee. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Steve

Here are the steps in writing that I have gathered from many sources and the video follows these steps.
- Launch Sony Viewer
- In the Viewer, select the 4 pixelates shift images.
- Choose File > Px. Shift Multi Shoot. Composite Image (or choose Command O).
In the dialog:
- Check “Apply each RAW file’s own settings to each RAW file
- Save format: ARQ Format from popup
- Save in: Choose location to save file
- File name: Choose name from popup.
- Click Save.
- Click Close when complete.
- Launch Raw Therapee
- In the File Browser, select the ARQ image and click on Edit
- Under Processing Profiles click on the “Last Saved” popup and choose Bundled Profiles > Pixel Shift > PS No motion.
- Open the RAW tab and under Sensor with Bayer matrix > Demosaicing > Pixel Shift, check “Equalize brightness of frames".
- Click the Save icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose Export options.
