Re: Am I the only one that doesn’t like the Fujicron Trinity 23,35,50 f2 Lenses?

I haven't tried the 23mm f1.4, but had two 35mm 1.4 and also the 60mm 2.4, which belong to the same "batch".

I have the 23mm f2. I wouldn't exchange it for the 1.4 for 2 main reasons:

1 - Fast AF (i have a 5 year old kid, and they move fast, not standing sill for more than 1sec.)

2 - Size / weight ( i carry it daily in my work messenger bag (had the 27mm for that but sold it because i prefer the FOV of the 23mm)

I also consider the 1.4 versions to have a different rendition, which i personally like. I notice that with OOC jpegs in classic chrome or with Pro Neg Std. However, i shoot a lot in B&W with that lens (23mm), and that rendering is not so important.

That said, i sold my 50mm f2 (which was very good to be honest) and bought the 60mm 2.4 because i use this focal lenghts  for portraits and those are in colour, which i prefer in the old lenses images.

All have pros and cons, you just have to choose the most suitable for your style on each focal lenght.
