Wait for the 24-70 F2.8 or buy now?
1

I am going to buy the Z6 and, while I am sure the prime lenses are great, I am more interested in a zoom lens. I have heard that the "kit" 24-70 F4 is phenomenal, but after shooting on a D7500 with the kit lens with an aperture range of 3.5-5.6, I know that the limitations can be of even an aperture of F4. I want to be sure that I am "future proofing" myself insofar as I allow myself the greatest latitude, so the real question is: do I wait to buy until the F2.8 lens can be purchased in lieu of the F4, or do you think I am making too much of the difference one stop can make on bokeh and low-light shooting?

Fr reference, I am mostly a travel shooter focusing on portraits of my wife and cities and, yes, I often like to get up early and shoot during the blue hour, so the additional stop would not go to waste. But, having never owned anything other than a 35 and 50 mm F1.8 that can go down to F2.8, I am asking those of you with more experience: how big a difference does the F2.8 vs F4 make? Should I wait to buy? Any guesses as to when that 24-70 F2.8 might be released?

Thanks in advance!
