Considering Quattro H concerned about SA lenses

If you are considering adapted lenses the A7RII is *dramatically* more flexible in terms of adapted lenses than the sdQH is. On the sdQH due to the fairly long flange length you can use SA mount and M42 lenses and it is possible to convert Canon EF lenses to SA mount. The zoom magnification on the sdQH is sort of backwards to everyone elses so that takes some getting used to. The frame rate of the EVF is lower, it gets blocky in lower light and there is no in body stabilization which can make all of the above more difficult for MF.

On the flip side the A7RII has a very short flange length you can adapt lenses from just about any system to it. There is a full variety of cheap adapters for system lenses and a number of smart adapters too. For example adapters to allow AF on Canon, Nikon (non-screw drive AF) and Contax G lenses and even an adapter that adds AF to most legacy AF lenses. The EVF is way better than the sdQH, high frame rate, much better in low light and has stabilization that works with legacy lenses. Kind of amazing to use a 1950s Leica Summicron and have it autofocus.....

Did you miss the point that he already has the A7RII?

They are selling for $1600 now and include your choice of accessories that are worth about another $100. 4tb hard drive or a Thinktank retrospective camera bag....etc...etc.

For adapted lenses the A7RII is far more flexible. It can AF adapted legacy lens faster than the sdQH AF with native global vision lenses.

Yes. I forgot that. There is no compelling reason I can think of to get the SD Quattro H if you already have an A7r II. The coming full-frame camera may be a different story though. I think I would stick with the Sony.
