Gaetano, I do not have that lens, so I can't help you with such details. I just know that if a lens is "WR", then it doesn't matter if you use (and what kind of) a lens hood. However, be careful to use the polarizer filter in the rainy condition. You know, such filter consists of two separated parts (one fixed, the other rotating), and I am not sure whether there are WR polarizer filters available.

So, if I understood well, it should work even if I'm not going to use a polarizing filter, am I right? AND in the photos I posted you don't see any mark in the front lens, right?
