I bought this recently (supposed to be new in box) and it won't arrive until next week sometime. Will this work on my K50 as is with no adaptor needed or will it work with my M42 to Pentax adaptor? I'm confused as I read conflicting answers. Maybe it will work on my film shooter, the Minolta X-700. Thanks

Forgot to add that I posed a question awhile back on the Pentax Super Takumar 135mm and wow, so glad I got that lense as I'm getting some beautiful images with it.

Here is an adaptor

I'm sure there are others. It includes an optical element for focus correction, which is needed because of the increased flange distance. This means you're better off using it on a mirrorless camera, with an adaptor that does not have a focus corrector lens element.

Concerning compatibility with the X-700 (fond memories, but I was a student back then), you might have better luck on the Sony forum here, as many with Minolta/Rokkor lenses got A-mount digital cameras by Sony.
