I had the Nikon D100 and the Nikon D70s, but I had the Nikon D70s first.

Both as old used cameras. But I used them to try to get shots of my daughter at her gymnastics competitions.

Now I shoot Nikon D750 and D7000 for her cheer competitions.

The D100 is an old camera. If I shoot with my D7000, with the same effort I can get a lot cleaner images when shooting indoor sports. So less than ideal light / no flash allowed. So same effort, cleaner pictures. It's hard to walk away from that.

But . . . the D100 did have ISO 3200 and 6400, which I did use for shooting indoor sports. And the reason I bought it after the D70s, which only went to ISO 1600.

The thing that the Nikon D70 had was the new iTTL flash system and the ability to high speed flash sync to dumb flashes.

There is a reason I at least updated to the D7000.

But, if I were to want to play with these old cameras, I'd been torn because each had its benefits.

Take care & Happy Shooting!
