Now that's just plain insane!

Isn't it? Zoom in to the couple on the rocks and what do the skin tones look like? Natural, authentic, real.

Four months ago someone said that the XT1 and D7500 are far superior to the S5 in dynamic range. Specs say one thing, real life shooting says the opposite. If you blow up the heck out of the highlights with a XT1 or D7500 the image will simply end up BURNT. The S5 Pro doesn't burn the image. Simple as that. Obviously unless you really really really over exposed it will also look messed up, other that no a XT1/D7500 does not recover the highlights with clean detail as the S5. And the S5 will look more like film where the more modern sensors will produce a more ugly digital messed up look.

I had that camera and till this day it can do some pretty cool artistic stuff when you over exposed, even the darn jpeg files do things I have never seen other cameras do. The S5 Pro is a trippin. If I ever see one around my area in good condition with low actuations I'll grab it in a heart beat now that I have much much nicer glass than before.

I took the S5 to Guatemala a few years ago and got some really pleasant looking images and also shot a wedding. No matter how old the S5 is it inspires confidence in a difficult situations where there is lots of sun. That camera has some beautiful and unique technology in it.
