How do you find the image quality with 1 inch vs micro four thirds? At times I've thought about selling my gx85 for a lx100 but love the Olympus 45 1.8 for portraits

I have both 1" and m43 and have used them both extensively during the last couple of years. In terms of IQ, m43 starts to get better after ISO 1600 regarding DR and Noise. So up to ISO 1600, 1" sensor's IQ is fine, 100% acceptable with no visible differences. At ISO 3200, you can still get some acceptable results with the 1" depending on the subject and the pp afterwards.

However, the 1" sensor definitely wins in terms of camera size and pocketability. Even the smallest GM1 gets bigger as soon as you add a pancake lens.

By the way, the LX100 is not a 1" sensor camera, but an m43 one.

Thank you for the reply. How do you find a 1 inch compact for portraits? I like to use my gx85 for travel/portraits/family events. I like the camera a lot but it's definitely not pocketable.

Oh yes, I meant the LX 10/15 not the 100. You're right
