Panorama nodal slide rail?

I love landscape photography and I like that big view you get with a wide lens. Currently my widest is the Loxia 21mm. Rather than buy another even wider lens that I might not use much (not to mention the weight of carrying it), I'm wondering if it would be a wiser investment to step up my panorama game. Today I've been reading about portrait vs landscape panos and doing some test shots in my living room. I also saw this interesting video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0HaRZi-FWs

I'm seeing that the best situation is to rotate around the nodal point or entrance pupil of the lens in order to minimize distortion. It seems I need to get a slide rail such as these:

Woah that price... I could get a lens for that...

Or...

OK that's more reasonable just to play around with.

Is that Sunwayfoto rail is going to work well enough or do I really need to get the vertical arm too if I'm going to go down this landscape rabbit hole?
