Which compromise help.....

Trying to determine which way to go. This winter visiting Yellowstone and won't have a lot of space to lug around camera equipment. Camera: D7200....Two options that I would appreciate some feedback on:

1) 18-140 kit lens and AF-S VR Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED

2) Tamron 18-400 super zoom

Research tells me that with option one I have better image quality (not sure how much) but two lenses to change. With Option 2 I have greater convenience, but sacrifice image quality.

I shoot nothing but raw and don't see printing larger than 11 x 14.
