Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 Base and Extended ISO Settings

There has been some debate about this and it is an unusual situation.

The Base ISO setting is approximately ISO 183; which is not a setting you can make so the published base ISO is ISO 200.

ISO 100 is an extended ISO that is pulled from ISO 183 therefore it does have lower read noise and higher dynamic range than ISO 200.
But it is an extend ISO with the usual risks of highlight clipping.
In other words, at ISO 100 you're shooting at ISO 183 pulled by 7/8 stops.
