Advice for a Canon deserter pretty please

Hi all,

I'm currently 100% Canon. I have 3 bodies, 5 lenses & 2 flashes:

- Canon EOS 5D Mark II
- Canon EOS 60D
- Infrared Converted Canon EOS 550D (EOS Rebel T2i)

- Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM
- Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
- Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
- Canon EF 70-200mm F4L IS USM
- Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM

I'm selling off the three bodies, two flashes and the EF 24-105 lens and buying the A7 III and Sony 24-105 f4.

Can't afford to replace all of my other lenses right now, so will need to get an adapter.

I've done some research, but am still not sure which adapter to get.

Metabones seems to be the leader, but some people are still complaining about it. Then there is the Sigma adapter and a plethora of other cheaper ones including Novoflex. All seem to have mixed reviews.

It is important to me to still be able to use (with AF) the 4 remaining Canon lenses as it will take me a number of years to replace them all with Sony mount glass:

Any advice on which adapter to go for?

Any links to good sources of info for people in my position (i.e. migrating from Canon to Sony) would be of great help!

Thanks in advance!
