Yes, that's what I meant. The 20mm f1.7. This seems like an ideal lens for me, paired with the 9-18mm Oly wide zoom. 9-20mm is my ideal range.

In the US, a GX85 + 12-32 + 45-150 was going for $499 last week.

I saw that. I'm currently living in Europe, so with import fees, this deal won't be as good. Plus, I don't like that kit zoom; I'm bothered with having to open it to turn it on, and there's too much barrel distortion at 12mm. I prefer the 14-42 PZ pancake zoom because it's a little longer and the mechanics are automated. A very minor point, but one of those things that can stick with you. I found the 14-42mm used online for €170.

Also, the 45-150 lens doesn't interest me, though maybe I'll get one of the telephotos as as rare necessity (like for an African trip). Do you recommend the 45-150 over the 45-175 or 14-140mm?

Finally, I really do prefer the GX9 over the GX80 for many little reasons: titling EVF, better IS, newer/bigger sensor, My Menu, resolution on screens, exposure comp, video button, AF switch, bulb mode, power saving, USB charging, port door, Bluetooth for geotagging (which I really look forward too, and which the PEN F also lacks). All this is definitely worth a couple hundred dollars to me.

Since then I’ve researched more, and wonder if the PEN F is better for me. That’s when I submitted this post.

I do need to try it out! I can even imagine having both, but that's too indulgent for now... I wonder if I can wait until it's updated, perhaps next year?

My hesitations now, aside from logistical order details, are the 1080p video and the swivel screen 👎 Oh and now it’s twice the price...

Hmm, amazon UK PEN-F bundle deal comes with a 17/1.8. I didn't check your country of residency though...

Yes, the PEN F body in Germany is around a grand. But the UK is selling the GX9 body for half that price now, And I found a similar deal in Czechia that ships the GX9 with the 20mm prime. Why isn't the PEN F on sale anywhere? It would be a lot more enticing if it was also discounted. Basically, the GX9 is priced to move these days, and the PEN isn't. Maybe this says something... a positive sign or a bad omen....
