Got both, pick GX9

Unless you can honestly say you would use super high resolution for your architecture, go GX9.

- quieter mechanical shutter

- overall faster

- can focus in lower light

- can do some degree of CDAF if you need it (PenF is really really bad at this)

- tilt LCD is better for street life if you are into that.

- can do 4k video if you want that

PenF is not bad per se, and despite Panasonic's great JPEG color advances in the GX9/G9, I would still crown the PenF as best m43rds color profile as far as getting "film out of the box."

But the PenF UI and response speed is a bit subpar particularly in this price, and so is its UI.

If you use EVF a lot, you may want to consider the PenF since it has a nice OLED EVF.

The PenF does IBIS better- about one stop.  Dual IBIS on the Panny with some lenses is almost like the PenF but PenF does IBIS better.

IBIS is nice, but I don't find it (for me) a deal breaker because I often shoot subjects that move and to take advantage of IBIS you need slower shutter.

Whichever Camera you pick- you are picking one of the best m43rds sensors and both can deliver when used within their limits.
