Beginners Guide to Inkjet Printing

I am finally hanging up my film cameras. I love film so much but I can't be around the chemicals and I am sick of overly expensive and sloppy results from the photo lab.

I bought a Canon Pro-100 as a starter printer (with rebate it's less then a replacement set of ink cartridges).

I am using an Olympus OMD EM-1 Mk1 as my camera (don't know if I need to upgrade yet) I would image that if images look okay on my 5k iMac they should look decent enough when printed.

Are there recommended guides for printing? I have never used a photo printer before beyond a Fujifilm Instax. How important is a monitor color calibrator? I am just making prints for myself, not sure how much effort is required for appealing results. If I enjoy the process I may upgrade to an Epson P600 or P800.

Do I need an Adobe Photography plan? I get by fine with free image editors but when it comes to printing I am not sure if these are necessary or not.

Any advice would be helpful.
