I don't know, I'm not super discerning and don't obsess over every little detail. But I think you'll love the GX9. I love mine. Great little camera. Nice solid feel, tons of features and great results.

It's kinda hard to tell from DPR opinions. You know what they say about opinions. I'm surprised a couple of regular posters here haven't chimed in yet. One to tell you how great the GX9 is because it doesn't have an AA filter, another to tell you that it's absolute garbage for the same reason. One to tell you how the GX9 has next to no shutter-shock, another to obsessively exclaim "By God it does!!!".

As far as the Oly vs. Pany thing - just ignore that if you don't already have a strong preference. They both make a superb camera and there is very little to choose between the two.

All I really know is that the GX9 feels great in my hands and takes great pictures.

Thank you for these totally sane and grounded words! 🙏 it’s true. I don’t want to get too deep into tech spec photo stuff. I’m drawn in a bit, but I need to get back into storytelling and aesthetics, and away from the sorts of fights you’re describing. Cheers!
