Tamron 90mm F017

Impulse purchase of a used lens, while in the local camera store with a D800e body that was in need of a lens.    As a perrenial  amateur my intended use:  when visiting family (Colombia, Aruba) and in conditions (paddling the kayak in NH/ME coast) anywhere a bigger/more expensive lens might be a liability. The  positive side:  my second cheapest lens, a bit more reach (when needed) than my 60mm G,  lighting conditions might be mitigated by the VC , and reasonable weight/size.

Tried autofocus, handheld in the store .

At home handheld,  under LED ceiling light - a little blur

Chinese "found things" my cluttered desk - same lighting, handheld/VC has a limit

Manual focus, with SB700 strobe

Mexican artifact (bought 1985 in Salem, NH) SB700 strobe
